Bula Vinaka and a very good afternoon to you all.
I am delighted to be with you all this afternoon in Taveuni for the handover of the gym equipment to Navakawau Youth Club. I will also be handing over to them and two (2) other youth clubs here with us today, their grant for the Youth Farm Initiative Project.

Firstly, I would like to extend my appreciation to the villagers for a warm welcome and would like to say -Vinakavakalevu!!!

One of the key priorities of the Fijian Government is building a healthier Fiji. While we are making the necessary investments in improving the quality of and access to healthcare, we also are doing what we can to get Fijians moving.

Exercise is a key part of a healthy lifestyle — and one of the best, and most fun, ways to do that is through sport and recreational activity.

So here I am today, happy to be able to hand over this new gym equipment so that your community and nearby communities as well can train safely and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Fitness and athletic competition are a big part of our national life. We cannot all be Olympians, but we can all appreciate and participate in physical activity - and we all should.

With the upcoming Wairiki Sevens in December, we are hopeful that this gym equipment will assist the Navakawau Rugby and Netball Team
to maintain your fitness level.

I am excited to see you make use of this new gym equipment, and look forward to seeing athletes from Navakawau Village continue to excel.

On the other hand Ladies and Gentlemen, as mentioned earlier on, I am also here to handover to these well-deserved youths; farming tools and vegetable seedlings. With the materials that I will handover today to the three youth clubs, I am told that a total of 76 youths will benefit from this assistance.

These three youth clubs are all heavily involved in dalo farming .Here in Taveuni, about 80% of dalo is produced in the district of Vuna, and therefore this assistance will only add value to the already-existing activities in the respective farms.

At this juncture, I wish to thank the landowners who have given their consent for the youths to utilize unused land for their farming activities.
Can we all put our hands together for them!!!

With those words, I wish you all the best and wish you well in your future endeavours.

Thank you and Vinaka-vakalevu!!!
