"MINISTER OF YOUTH AND SPORTS INSPIRES SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH VISIT AND EMPHASIS ON SPORTS DEVELOPMENT”.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Honorable Jese Saukuru , along with a delegation from the ministry, recently paid a visit to Vunisea Secondary School in Kadavu. The purpose of the visit was to interact with the students and discuss the importance of sports and youth development.
Upon arrival, the Minister was warmly welcomed by the school's principal, teachers, and students. A special assembly was organized, where the Minister addressed the students, emphasizing the role of having quality education and sports in promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering discipline and teamwork.
During the interactive session, the Minister encouraged the students to actively participate in various sports activities and highlighted the numerous benefits that come with it. He stressed the importance of sports not only in physical development but also in building character, leadership skills, and self-confidence.
The Minister also took the opportunity to discuss the government's initiatives and programs aimed at promoting youth participation in sports. He highlighted the various opportunities available for talented young athletes to represent the country at national and international levels, as well as the scholarships and support provided by the ministry to deserving students.
After the assembly, the Minister and the delegation visited the school's sports facilities, including the basketball court, football field, and athletics track. They interacted with the students, observing their training sessions and engaging in friendly conversations.
