MINISTER OF YOUTH AND SPORTS MEETS WITH FIJI BOXING COMMISSION AND PROMOTERS.

The Fiji Boxing Board and Promoters met with the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Jese Saukuru, today (18:08:23) at the Ministry Headquarters in Suva to discuss the future of boxing in Fiji.
The meeting was held to discuss the development of boxing in Fiji, and to explore ways to support the sport.
The Minister welcomed the Boxing Promoters and thanked them for their work in promoting boxing in Fiji. He said that boxing is a popular sport in Fiji and that the Government is committed to supporting its development.
The Board members briefed the Minister on the current status of boxing in Fiji. They highlighted the challenges that the sport is facing, such as the lack of funding and facilities. They also discussed their plans for the future, including the development of a national boxing academy.
The Minister expressed his support for the Board's plans and pledged to provide the necessary assistance. He said that he is confident that boxing will continue to grow in popularity in Fiji.
The Minister for Youth and Sports Honorable Jese Saukuru said that the welfare of boxers is the most important thing, and that the Fiji Boxing Commission must ensure that boxers are treated fairly and with respect.
Minister Saukuru highlighted the importance of boxing as a sport that can help to promote healthy living and discipline among young people. He also noted the potential for boxing to help to develop Fiji's sporting reputation internationally.
The Fiji Boxing Promoters expressed their appreciation for the Minister's support, and they outlined their plans for the future of the sport. They said that they are committed to working with the Ministry to develop boxing in Fiji, and to provide opportunities for young people to participate in the sport.
The Minister said that he is confident that the Fiji Boxing Promoters will be able to make a positive contribution to the development of boxing in Fiji. He also encouraged young people to get involved in the sport, and to take advantage of the opportunities that are available.
