The Fédération internationale de football association (FIFA) President Mr.Gianni Infantino arrived in Fiji today (05.08.23) on his first official visit.
The Minister for Youth and Sports Hon.Jese Saukuru and the Fiji Football Association President Mr.Rajesh Patel received the FIFA President at Nausori International Airport respectively.
The FIFA President Mr.Infantino led a delegation to the country and joined forces with the Fijian Government to inaugurate the King Pele Fitness Centre, located in Vatuwaqa,Suva.
Additionally, the newly refurbished futsal court was also unveiled as part of this collaborative effort.
The visit marks a significant milestone for Fijian sport, emphasizing the nation's commitment to youth development and the promotion of sporting excellence.
It is also an opportunity to celebrate the strong partnership between FIFA and the Fijian Government in uplifting local sports and fostering international collaboration.
