GAME OFFICIALS COMPLETE TRAINING IN RA

A total of 50 participants completed a one week course on Health and Sports Training of Trainers (šŸ˜­) in Ra last week Friday (21.07.23).
While officially closing the training, the Minister for Youth and Sports Hon.Jese Saukuru expressed his satisfaction with the dedication and commitment shown by the participants throughout the training period. He also emphasized the crucial role of game officials in ensuring the smooth conduct of sporting events, upholding the principles of fair play and sportsmanship.
The training, which is run by the Fiji National Sports Commission and Ministry of Youth and Sports, covered various topics including rule interpretation, decision-making, conflict resolution, and effective communication. The programme also emphasized the importance of fair play, integrity, and professionalism in sports officiating.
Renowned experts and experienced officials from national backgrounds served as instructors, sharing their invaluable knowledge and expertise with the participants. The training incorporated theoretical sessions, practical demonstrations, and interactive workshops to provide a comprehensive learning experience.
"I am confident that the skills and knowledge acquired during this training will significantly enhance the capabilities of our game officials," stated Minister Saukuru. "By maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, they will contribute to the growth and development of sports in Soa Ra."
