This was highlighted by the Permament Secretary for Youth and Sports Mr.Rovereto Nayacalevu while sharing a few remarks at the Raiwaqa Basketball Interlane Easter Competition yesterday (07.04.23).

PS Nayacalevu said that while sports continues to provide pathways and opportunities ,there is also life after sports.

He urged the participants that education provides a foundation to fall back on should they decide to retire from their sporting career in the future.

He also handed over sports equipment including 40 x basket balls and 12 x ball pumps to 12 x lane basketball clubs participating in the tournament.

The week-long competition that shot off to a start last Saturday comes to an end today (08.04.23).
