Members of the Nadala Youth Club joined our staff and partner stakeholders from the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Forestry in planting more than 300 trees at Nadala Village and Nadarivatu Primary School last Thursday (26.01.23).
They planted 50 x indigenous trees and 255 x fruit trees such as wi-apples, soursoup, mangoes, vesi (pacific teak), lemons and coconuts.
While the exercise complements our Ministry long-term goal in empowering youth to create a friendly and sustainable environment, it also reinforces government’s commitment in planting 30 Million Trees
in 15 years to address Climate Change, enhancing the ecosystem and biodiversity.
